breakout是动词词组break out（爆发）的名词形式。Tensions rose after the breakout of the news。（消息传出以后，形势变得紧张起来。）The breakout of SARS was a major event in the first half of 2003。（在2003年的上半年，非典的爆发是一个重大的事件。）另可表示“逃脱，越狱”等。rage意为“愤怒，情绪激动，狂暴，精神错乱”。例如：My father was in a rage last night。（我父亲昨天晚上十分生气。） rage作动词主要表示“发怒”。kitchen rage是指人到了厨房会变得狂躁，这是一种 psychological disorder（心理疾病，也可以说成mental disorder）。
